Hi Guys!
Let's try something different today, makeup tutorial!
Well, I don't consider this a tutorial actually...more like...merely sharing my makeup routine because this is so easy and I know you also have your own version of the this look...we all do.
The "No Makeup" Makeup look is your Go To look. It's something you wear when you're feeling lazy or if you're just keeping it simple. Something you do on a daily basis ;) Now this is my version. This is something I throw on when I'm just running errands or if I'm too lazy to put on makeup but I still want something in my face (para naman presentable ako tignan because I am pale...unhealthy pale, that's why I still need a little something).
The makeup product I will be showing vary depending on the season, weather, activity or mood. I change the makeup items from time to time just so I can maximize everything in my makeup stash. But it all boils down to the look I will be sharing with you. For example, I do use different BB creams on a weekly basis but in the end...my "no makeup" makeup look looks exactly the same. You get what I mean!
Let's begin!
Now this is my face without anything. Bags are black, pale lips etsetera etsetera.
I never forget moisturizer. I do have an oily skin but I still put on moisturizer because usually, after bath, I get ugly dry patches which makes the BB cream/foundation cake-y and uneven...Moisturizer is the solution!
Primer for the base especially during office days where I need my foundation to last all day. For this look, I used Pond's Flawless White BB cream (P299.00, I will do a review soon!).
BB Creams are generally lighter than foundations. They don't smudge, they last the whole day and they have additional benefits like SPF, whitening, anti-aging etc. So yeah...BB creams are my thing as far as "No makeup" makeup look is concern.
NOTE: It is very very important to find your shade (not too light or not too dark) to make it look natural, chose a shade very similar to your neck...and don't forget to include your neck in your foundation application.
Pea size will do! See? As if I'm wearing nothing! It hides redness and few blemishes but it's no way near the typical makeup mistake...FOUNDATION DAY EVERYDAY thing.
Concealing is important. It makes you look awake even if you pulled an all-nighter last night. It hides pimple marks and brightens your undereye. Make sure to find a good concealer, something that doesn't cake or doesn't crease or doesn't smudge. Bye bye black bags!
For this one, I used a brow pencil. Outline your brows and fill in "gaps" then brush/comb them until they're blended and even. Keep it simple! You don't want to put dark and heavy arched brows because that is not natural (mukang drawing)! I, most often, skip this step. But it does make a difference!
For the eyes, I filled in my lash line first with a black eyeliner so that my eyes would look wider and more awake. Then I curled my very very very scarce and short lashes then put on a natural looking mascara :) You don't want to put something heavy to prevent the spider legs look. Let's keep it natural guys ;)
For this look, I used natural looking rose-neutral-pink matte colors. I don't suggest very shimmery, glittery, pigmented shadows because that would definitely show and that would totally ruin your "natural" look . I used the Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette. This is espensiiiiive and not locally available. BUT! I found a dupe :)
The Nudes from LA Girl. This is worth P499.00 (mall price) if I'm not mistaken but of course I bought this online for P380.00. Good deal if you're looking for a rose-y palette. They're pretty similar in color...quality is a different story.
I used STRANGE all over my lid, this is my base :) No transition shades, no other shiz, just the base.
Then I added NOONER on the sides of my lid up to the crease. This matte color is a FAVE! Then that's it :) I totally skip this step when I'm feeling extra lazy :)
Blush this time. In my opinion, mouse-y blushes and tints tend to give you the more natural look comparing it to powder blushes. They stay on your cheeks like they're part of your being hahaha. Cheek tints are long lasting and very natural looking. It gives you that sun kissed look in my opinion :) Korean brands have THE best lip and cheek tints ever ever ever. Make sure to blend it fast though.
No Makeup Makeup? LIPBALM! Tinted lipbalms give you the most natural looking lips. Balms are also healthy, you know, break from all the chemically lip products. I go for the cherry and strawberry tinted balms because they're perfect for my lips ;) The Revlon Colorbusrt balms in #145 looks also nice. Your "lips-but-better" lipstick would be perfect. I have so many choices, we'll never finish this blog kung iisa isahin ko sila.
Finally, the finishing powder. If you want to keep it dewy (moist looking) you can totally skip this step. But it is extra hot today so yes...I will put powder to prevent excessive oil. You can use whatever loose powder you have.
TADAAAAA! My "No Makeup" Makeup look! :) Looks like I don't have anything in mah face (in my opinion).
So yeah, that completes the look! Share your thoughts on this one and also your routine :) Hope you enjoyed!
Always remember...BE BEAUTIFUL, BE YOU!
Lots and lots of love,
Raisa
PS. Apologies for the selfies. Hahaha
