RaiTries: Coloupop Back to Cool 2015 Fall Collection

Hi Guys!

It's Saturday, my favorite day of the week :) And cause it's a favorite, might as well share with you parts of my favorite makeup product. LIPSTICKS! I'm a certified lipstick junkie. I have over 70 lipsticks in my stash...and still counting haha. I know...it's crazy. I particularly love bold colors especially those with brown undertones on it. I have huge lips...which I love because the reds and maroons really do stand out on me (let's take Anne Curtis as an example). So to the girls with full lips...just love that special gift :)

I don't have any Coloupop Cosmetics in my stash, everyone is raving about it especially the Beauty Youtubers...so I thought, maybe it's worth the try. I bought mine from PuckerUpManila. It's an online shop that sells drugstore to highend lip products (this is not sponsored...like really? I'm still a nobody in the social media world) but spread the news right? If you want to check them out just go to their website (www.PuckerUpManila.com). I wanted to link the exact site but I was having problem with it at the moment ;( I bought mine through their Shopee Philippines account, a phone application, where they constantly have coupon/discount codes. I bought it when the P250.00 discount was up. So instead of buying it for P2,100.00 (the whole set), I just payed P1,850.00. I hope I make sense hehe.

So as I was saying...Colourpop released their 2015 fall collection called Back to Cool (Lippie Stix) and Forever Freshman (Individual eyeshadows). They are limited edition I think BUT there are a wide variety of colors in their regular line that are close/almost the same with the colors found in this collection. As I said earlier...I love bold colors on the lips and there is no other perfect season than FALL when it comes to bold lipsticks. It's the perfect time of the year to flaunt and show that bold, vampy and pumpkin spice-y lips, girl!

Where to buy: Sadly...It is not locally available in the Philippines, I mean you still can't find it in physical stores but the good news is...almost all of the makeup online shops I know sell Colourpop products. Buying online may give you a little "stress" especially if you're not a risk taker because you have to pay for the product+shipping fee...then wait...then actually get the product so it is VERY VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT to check on the legitimacy of the online shop/seller. I am an avid online seller basically because you get best of both worlds (I will put up a blog soon talking about my experiences with online shops...I can't explain everything here including Shopee Ph app.) but I do have standards and rules that is why I never experienced scamming or whatever. Well...we've got PuckerUpManila at the moment :)

Price: Hmm ranging from P350.00 to P425.00 per Lippie Stix. I'd never buy it for P400.00 and above. That is too much already in my opinion. As I explained earlier, I bought mine for P1,850.00 (because of shopee_ph discount code but original price is P2,100.00 with sf already)  for the whole set...that's like P309.00 for each Lippie Stix. Good deal right? I think I've become an expert when it comes to online buying....joke! hahaha American price is $5 I guess.

Amount: 1.0 gram per product

Packaging: I love the packaging! It's thinner and taller than an average lipstick, but it's shorter than an average eyeliner. It can literally fit to anywhere, even in your pocket. It's kikay kit friendly definitely. It doesn't have any fancy designs on also :)

Scent: Vanilla without a doubt, it reminds me of MAC lipsticks but more subtle. I can't tolerate lipstick with chemical/grandma-perfume-like scents, I do have those and they're the worst trust me because you can actually taste them. But this product is one of the most fragrant/tasteless hahahaha lipstick I ever had!

Application: Smooth and problem free. Application on bold colors can be a bit tricky especially on the matte ones because you need to apply it very precisely (mahirap burahin ang lampas kasi magiiwan at magiiwan ng bakas yan lalo na sa mga red, maroon and brown shades). Some uses lip pencils to define lip lines, but in this review...I never used any so bare with the lampas lampas because I needed to erase the whole product every after application hehe

Coverage: I'm impressed, they're very pigmented. Colors are definitely build-able.

Day's activity: N/A. Swatches only! :) but will try it the whole day to test also the longevity. Update you guys soon.

Coloupop Lippie Stix comes in four finishes (Hyper Gloss, Creme, Satin and Matte).  This collection comes in 3 finishes (1 Creme, 1 Satin and 4 Mattes). I love matte lipsticks and makeup products in general.

*DANGER: SELFIE MONSTER ATTACK

Shades:

1. Choker - it is a light, cool-toned beige in Creme finish. This will look good on fair skinned girls (and guys :) ) maybe fairer than me. Best paired with a smokey, really deep eye makeup.  It actually looks darker when swatched, once applied, looks so pail especially on my skin tone.

2. Mosh Pit - Mid-tone warm brown in a matte finish. I love this color. It is a perfect everyday brown nude color :) perfect for any  eyelook in my opinion :)

3. Baewatch - Dusty rose in a matte finish. Will AldenBae love this on you? Hahaha ok enough. It is almost similar to the Mosh Pit but it has a pinkish red...rose-like undertone on it, almost maroon. It's definitely bolder and louder than the Mosh Pit. Perfect for evening events :)

4. Too Sexy - Deep red violet with a subtle blue flash in satin finish. Statement is the word. Satin is like...middle of creme and matte. It glides smoother than mattes :)

5. Out of Sync - Bright blue fuchsia in a matte finish. I think this is a very versatile color. It will also look good in the summer! It's a nice cranberry shade which I love. My lips feel numb at the moment haha.

6. TGIF - True brick red in a matte finish. Well, this just gives me the Amor Powers "powers". I am so into these type of reds. I remember Ruby Woo of Mac...this one is a bit darker, it has a brown undertone on it. It's amazing.

PROS: What a great product in general! I have heard so many good reviews about it...I guess I can testify why. From the packaging, the scent, the formula. It's amazing! Plus the color selection is also wide. Name the shade...they have it, seriously :)

CONS: I don't have anything negative to say about it at the moment. I will test it out and update you guys.

Final thoughts: They are for keeps. I love it. It's a holy grail. I will continue using this one maybe until I finish them haha. TGIF and Mosh Pit are my faves! :)

This is a very long article, I'm so sorry. I'm just...THAT...when it comes to lip products :) Thanks for the time guys! Share with me your thoughts. Always remember... BE BEAUTIFUL, BE YOU.

Lots and lots of love,

Raisa
