RaiTries: Etude House Lipsticks

 Hi Guys!

I am back, I apologize for not posting anything during the weekdays because we were so busy in the office... I never had the time :( I feel bad though. But anyway I am back with another lipstick review, hahaha remember our Saturday routine? :)

Today I am going to show you the samples and swatches of the Etude House Lipstick line (Dear My Blooming Lips-talk and Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips). I will also give you my thoughts on these adorable products :)

Where to Buy: Okay, the online buyer thrives in me...I bought mine from the FashionDollHouse, an online legit seller of all-Korean makeup and beauty products. She sells brands like The FaceShop, TonyMoly, Etude House, Nature Republic, The Skin Food and many more famous Korean brands in a much lower price. The Etoinette Lipsticks are limited edition (they came from EH last year's collection if I am not mistaken) but the Dear My Lipsticks are Etude house' regular line which is available in any Etude House physical stores nation wide. Many more shades are available in the FashionDollHouse. If you are interested, do check out their Instagram account @fashiondollhouse_official

Price: The Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips are worth P487.00 each (plus shipping fee) and the Dear My Blooming Lips Talk are woth P290.00 each (plush shipping fee). In EH physical stores, Dear My Lipsticks are worth P478.00 each (pricey! See how much savings I had? haha)

Amount: 3.4 grams

Packaging: (refer to the above photo) Well, this is the main reason why I bought these adorable lip products. I am so big on packaging that I care less if the formula sucks. I know! That shouldn't be, I mean we should dwell on the formula right? But makeup companies who do put effort in making their product look amazing through the packaging is a definite plus plus plus point. Lime Crime Lipsticks, for example, has a great formula (I watched reviews)  but honestly I can't find myself buying one because of its packaging which looks "cheap" in my opinion.

I mean...come on Lime Crime!

Scent: The Etoinette Line threw me off a bit, it smells like grandama perfume :( But it goes away few minutes after applying so it isn't an issue for me...but for those who are sensitive to lipstick scents, these may not be for you. But the Dear My Lipsticks luckily has a fruity sweet scent! Haha

Application/Coverage: Generally, the formula of the lipsticks are buttery and very very creamy that it actually feels like a lip balm (or a petroleum jelly). The Etoinette "Crystal Shine" has few glitters but wont actually show once worn. Application is definitely smooth and hustle free, you can erase any mistakes and I don't think you'll be needing lip pencils since it's far from the usual matte to satin formulas which requires precise application. Coverage is shear and not very pigmented on the orange color range but the pinks and reds are pigmented enough to cover even the lip line. It has a buttery texture meaning you may have to reapply it within the day especially after eating or drinking (unlike mattes which usually stays longer). It is definitely not long wearing.

Warning: Be careful during summer, never expose these lipsticks in high temperature, they melt easily because of their creamy consistency!

1. Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips:  I got mine in three shade because these are the only shades available. I was eyeing for the product for a long time and Fashion Doll House Online Shop is the only Korean shop that sells it.

Yes! A-they're A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E and
B- oh so B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L
They are housed in a pink felt packaging, they should actually belong to a princess. An "E" is embossed in the lipstick itself. They do have glitters on them hence the "crystal shine" lips you get once applied.

 1. POR202 - Pink-orange-y tone with a bit shimmer in it. It is perfect for an everyday dainty look. A definite must have in any girl's lipstick collection. Another "lips but better" shade for me.

2. PPK004 - It is a pink cranberry shade with a hint of red. It has a better consistency than POR202 in my opinion. I can pull this one better, it can be used in any occasions :)

3. PRD302 - ofcouse, let's not forget the red. It is so pigmented that it actually feels like an "American" lipstick. Korean lip products are known for their shear, buttery, light texture and pigment that is why I am quite surprise with this one. (forgot to take a picture of the box huhu)

2. Dear My Blooming Lips-talk - these are Etude House' regular lipsticks. The packaging screams fancy-ness! A heart is embossed on the lipstick :) They have a huge array of colors from oranges to pinks, beige and reds but they closely resemble each other, the colors actually look  the same (but trust me they are not, totally different from each other). They are really really creamy, creamier than the Etoinette Line.

1. PK018 - Very feminine pink, another everyday neutral-corally color :) I am so into these colors.

2. PK004 - See? this closely resembles PK018 but they're different, this one thrives more on its pinky-ness. I can have hundreds of these shade :)

3. OR209 - It may look pink on the swatch but it is the prefect coral shade I am looking for, It almost looked like a straight up orange, I don't have any of this shade actually. This will look gorgeous in summer :) Weird tho, this is the creamiest of all.

4. RD305 - last but not the least! This is my fave shade out of the four lipsticks. It isn't as intense as the PRD302 of the Etoinette but it is pigmented. It is less creamy than the others - more of the satin formula I guess. It is red but it has a pink undertone...I know...it's weird, I love it.

Final Thoughts: It's too early to tell and give my final thoughts on the products. But generally they are great. They will work well especially for those who wanted to keep it simple and also for the beginners (like me). I had no problem removing them and "fixing" them during application. I think they're are very moisturizing. I experienced no irritation whatsoever during the whole blogging process. I will try to work with them during the rest of the week and update this blog :) The packaging is stunning, I love it. They are the most sophisticated-looking lip products I have actually. I don't find myself buying the Dear My Line in its regular price though. It is almost P500.00! Das ESPENSIVE! (Kathleen Lights hahaha)

That's it guys! I hope you enjoyed as much as I did doing this blog. Lipsticks are definitely my weakness :) I feel so happy having different shades from different brands.

Oooh! hahahaha

Always remember! BE BEAUTIFUL...BE YOU!

Lots and lots of love,

Raisa

PS. these are the other products I used for this post, thought you should know hehe :)
